About Nancy

Hi, I am Nancy! Welcome to The Quick Recipe.
I am the recipe developer, photographer and food lover behind this blog. I live in Austin, Texas, and I am on a mission to make healthy eating incredibly simple for everyone.
We all have busy lives. Between work, family, and daily errands, spending two hours in the kitchen every night is just not realistic. I used to struggle with finding meals that were quick, healthy, and actually tasted good. I wanted to eat well without feeling exhausted by the cooking process. That is exactly why I created The Quick Recipe. I wanted to build a space where you can find delicious food that fits perfectly into a hectic schedule.

Hello and Welcome to The Quick Recipe!
I am Nancy Harris, the recipe developer, photographer, and food lover behind this blog. I live in sunny Austin, Texas, and I am a big believer that healthy eating should never feel like a chore.
If you are looking for easy 30-minute meals, high-protein snacks, and no-fuss recipes made with everyday ingredients, you are in the exact right place.
My Story I started The Quick Recipe out of pure necessity. A few years ago, I was juggling a demanding job, long commutes, and a never-ending to-do list. By the time 6:00 PM rolled around, the last thing I wanted to do was spend an hour chopping vegetables and washing a sink full of dishes. I often found myself grabbing takeout or settling for heavily processed snacks just to get through the day.
Eventually, I realized that my busy lifestyle was taking a toll on my energy. I knew I needed to change the way I approached food, but I refused to give up flavor or spend my entire Sunday doing meal prep.
I started experimenting in the kitchen with simple ingredients. I focused on lean proteins, fresh veggies, and minimal cooking steps. When my quick dinners and high-protein bites started getting rave reviews from friends and family, I decided to share them online. That is exactly how The Quick Recipe was born!
My Food Philosophy Healthy is a tricky word that means something different to everyone. Around here, my philosophy is simple: unrestrictive, balanced, and high in protein.
I do not believe in cutting out entire food groups or eating boring meals just to stay in shape. Whether it is a creamy pasta dish made a little lighter or a high-protein version of your favorite snack, my goal is to make nutritious food taste incredibly good.
